Mushrooms & Adaptogens

At E+ROSE, we offer a variety of mushrooms and adaptogens that you can add to your smoothie & coffee, and we even add them to our grab-and-go nut-milk blends.

We add mushrooms and adaptogens because of their various health benefits and long healing history.  Mushrooms and Adaptogens now a days seem to get linked together and they both have lots of health benefits but not all mushrooms are adaptogens and not all adaptogens are mushrooms.

What are adaptogens, and what are the health benefits of mushrooms?

Adaptogens: Adaptogens are natural herbs, roots, and other plant substances (like mushrooms) that help our bodies manage stress and restore balance after a stressful situation (UCLA). It is common to find adaptogens in different teas and coffees, and now there are adaptogen mixes made out of the powder forms of various adaptogens. You can mix these into coffee or any liquid. A few examples of adaptogens are Ashwagandha, Maca, Reishi, and Ginseng.

Mushrooms: Mushrooms are fiber-rich fungi high in B vitamins (which can be incredibly beneficial for people who don't consume meat). Mushrooms have been known to have high amounts of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer effects. Different mushrooms have mental and physical benefits ranging from stress relief to endurance and anticancer properties. You can consume superfood mushrooms in many ways, and you can eat them in their whole form or tablets, powders, or liquid form.

Health Benefits of Mushrooms/ Adaptogens

Minimizing Stress:

Reishi is one of the mushrooms we feature in our stores through our Reishi Mocha and in our mushroom mix and could be considered "the queen of mushrooms." Its adaptogenic properties help your body to manage occasional stress and have been linked to improving liver & brain health.

Ashwagandha is an herbal shrub that helps to relieve anti-anxiety symptoms and control cortisol levels. It also helps to improve sleeping habits in those with and without insomnia (MedicalNewsToday). Ashwagandha berries and roots are used when we consume ashwagandha powder or tablets for medicinal purposes. Ashwagndha can be added to our menu items or found in our market item a | dash.

Immunity Boost

The mushrooms Lion's Mane and Chaga support immune health due to their high amount of antioxidants.

Energy Levels

Ginseng is a root that has been linked to helping people fight fatigue and to having anti inflammatory properties. It is also high in antioxidants that can boost your immune system. Gingseng is one of the more well known adaptogens. You might recognize it from green teas. We offer it in our Berries and The Bees Smoothie.

Mood Boosting

Maca is a super root adaptogen that is a prized aphrodisiac that may boost libido in both men and women and it also has been connected to enhancing moods.

Needing a boost! Add any of these adaptogens and mushrooms to your next order at E+ROSE. We offer a mushroom powder add on that we can add into any smoothies, smoothie bowl, or coffee.
